Nuances of tax notices
The document from the Federal Tax Service is usually received a month before the payment deadline. It contains the following information:
- total amount of tax payments;
- object of taxation;
- payment terms;
- the tax base;
- information where the specified amount will be transferred.
The receipt is handed over to the individual against signature strictly in the inspection area to which the object belongs. Main methods of transferring a receipt:
- ordered letter;
- directly upon visiting the inspection;
- in electronic format with digital signature;
- in the “Taxpayer’s Personal Account”.
A registered letter is often lost, and a very limited number of people have an electronic signature, so the main options are a personal visit and “Personal Account” on the Federal Tax Service portal.
Attention! For users who have a “Personal Account” on the Tax Service website, a paper tax notice is not generated or sent by mail. The finished document is available in your “Personal Account”. An exception is the option when the taxpayer wrote an application to duplicate all electronic payments with documents in paper format.
In some large cities, there is an agreement between the Federal Tax Service and the MFC for the provision of services, where, within their constituent entity of the Federation, citizens have the opportunity to receive notification. Since July 2015, anyone with a confirmed account can log in through the Unified Identification and Logistics System and receive a tax notification through Gosuslugi. On the e-government website, when a debt appears, next to the user’s profile there are several icons in the upper right corner:
- tax debt;

- legal debt.
How to pay transport tax
This document is ordered and received by the Federal Tax Service Inspectorate (Federal Tax Service Inspectorate), at the place of registration. In the future, this document is not updated or changed; even if it is lost, the code remains the same.
Find out your debt by last name
The mechanism for easier repayment of debt to the state is implemented by various services (the State Services portal, mobile applications of banks), but still the fastest and safest is to use the official federal website of the department.

If the account confirmation was carried out through Russian Post by registered mail, then automatic connection to the “Personal Account” of the Federal Tax Service through “State Services” is impossible, since information that has a tax secret for the taxpayer is stored here (Article 102 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation), such as: information on accrued taxes, income, etc.

The “Print” button will be in the upper right corner if you open a receipt, and if you restore it, the same button will be located at the bottom of the page with information about a specific payment. Accordingly, printing will begin immediately after pressing this button.
Possible difficulties when authorizing on the Nalog.ru website and ways to solve them
- Last name, first name, patronymic, TIN.
- Next, you should select the type of state duty – vehicle tax.
