How to appeal a parking fine

It happens that a driver is sent a fine for a violation that he did not commit. For example, for stopping under a sign that was not visible, or even for someone else’s car. To challenge the fine, the driver has ten days from the date of the decision. To do this, follow the steps.

Send. Send your complaint by registered mail to the traffic police or bring it to the department in person.

Deadline for payment. If the driver agrees with the ruling, he has 70 days to pay the fine. The first 10 are given for appeal, then the decision comes into force and from that day there are another 60 days to pay.

What happens if you don't pay? If the driver misses the payment deadline, the inspector will give a copy of the protocol to the bailiffs. They will begin enforcement proceedings, which will be reported to the defaulter by mail.

If the debtor ignores the notice, they may impose an enforcement fee - at least 1,000 rubles.
