The car owner must pay the remaining amount himself. However, if a citizen has extended insurance, the limit for which, say, is 1,200,000 rubles, the insurer will fully compensate for the costs. As a result, the person at fault will not have to provide compensation from personal funds. A similar rule applies if damage to health is caused.
