If the driver's documents have expired, but the driver, knowing this, stops using the car until they are restored, then no fines or additional fees will be charged. Moreover, you won’t even need to take repeated exams (except in cases where the driver has not driven for more than a year, but it is almost impossible to prove this fact). Driving a car with an expired (or lost) license may result in a penalty of up to 15,000 rubles.

The amount of monetary compensation for the replacement, regardless of its reasons, is calculated in the same way as for the issuance of a new document (the cost of plastic and services of civil servants). Therefore, the cost of the fee to replace a driver’s license in 2021 is:
